Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Vettena. Please read them. We've written them to be understood rather than to be impressive.

1. Who you're contracting with

VII INITIUM j.d.o.o. za usluge, MBS 081504844, OIB 03930513116, registered at the Commercial Court in Zagreb (Trgovački sud u Zagrebu), with its seat at Brezovička cesta 38, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia.

Contact: support@vettena.com

"We", "us" and "our" mean that entity. "You" means the person or organisation using the service.

2. What the service does

You upload a business document. Three independent AI models review it, comment on each other's findings, and produce a ranked list of issues to address before you send the document to whoever will judge it.

What this is: an automated pre-submission filter that catches the kinds of problems a language model can find. Examples: unsupported figures, load-bearing assumptions presented as settled, numbers that don't reconcile, claims an informed reader would dispute, conclusions that don't follow.

What this is not: professional advice. The review is not financial advice, legal advice, investment advice, accounting advice, or a substitute for a qualified human reviewer. We do not verify that any figure in your document is factually correct. We do not guarantee that the review finds every problem, or that every issue it raises is a real one. Decisions you take on the basis of a review are yours.

If your document is going to an investor, a bank, a board, or a procurement authority, have a qualified person read it too.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service and to buy credits. If you're using the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorised to agree to these terms on its behalf.

4. Your account

One account is one login. You may share that login within your team or organisation. You're responsible for everything done under your account, including by anyone you share it with, and for keeping the credentials secure.

Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

5. Credits

The service runs on prepaid credits. A review costs a number of credits based on the length of the document, shown to you before you confirm.

Two kinds of credit

One-time credits, bought as a pack, are valid for 12 months from purchase. They remain in your balance until you use them, until they expire, or until your account closes.

Subscription credits are issued at the start of each billing period of your plan and expire at the end of that billing period (for example, a plan that started on 28 October issues credits on 28 October that expire on 28 November). They do not roll over. Unused subscription credits are lost when the period ends.

Free credits we give you, for example during a beta, have no cash value, can't be refunded or transferred, and expire on the date shown in your account.

How they're spent

When you run a review, subscription credits are used first. One-time credits are used only once your subscription credits for the current billing period are used up. Within each kind, the credits that expire soonest are used first. This exists so that credits which are going to expire get used before credits which aren't.

Cancelling and closing

If you cancel a subscription, it stays active until the end of the current billing period, and credits issued under it stay usable until then. One-time credits are unaffected by cancellation.

If you delete your account, all credits are lost (both kinds). We do not convert them to money.

Plan changes

If you move to a higher plan, the change applies straight away: you pay the difference for the rest of the current billing period and receive the matching share of the extra credits. If you move to a lower plan, the change applies from your next billing period.

Failed payments

If a subscription payment fails, we don't issue new credits until it succeeds. If it can't be collected, the subscription ends.

Refunded failed reviews

Credits refunded for a failed review keep their original expiry date. If they have expired by then, they come back valid for 30 days.

No cash refunds

Credits are not refundable for money once purchased, except where Section 6 requires it or where the law says otherwise.

6. Consumers and the 14-day withdrawal right

If you're buying as an individual rather than for a business, EU consumer law normally gives you 14 days to change your mind about a digital purchase and get your money back.

Because credits are available for use immediately, we ask you to confirm at checkout that you want immediate access and that you understand you lose the withdrawal right once you start using the credits. If you don't give that confirmation, the 14-day right applies in full and you can cancel the purchase for a refund.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under Croatian or EU law that cannot be waived.

7. Pricing and currency

Prices are shown in euros. The price you see at checkout is what you pay, including VAT where it applies.

We may change prices. A change never affects credits you've already bought, and we'll tell you before a subscription renews at a new price.

8. When a review fails

If a review fails for a technical reason, we refund the credits automatically. That covers failures in our pipeline and failures caused by an AI provider being unavailable or returning an unusable response. You don't need to ask.

If a review completes, the credits are spent. We don't refund a completed review because you disagree with its findings, because it raised fewer issues than you expected, or because you didn't find the output useful. The review is the thing you bought, not a particular result from it.

We don't promise how long a review takes. It depends on the document and on the AI providers' response times.

9. What you may upload

By uploading a document you confirm that:

  • You own it, or you have permission from whoever does to send it for review
  • You have the right to share any personal data it contains, and a lawful basis for doing so
  • Sending it to us and onward to the AI providers named in our Privacy Policy does not breach any confidentiality obligation you're under

Don't upload:

  • Anything unlawful, or anything intended to further an unlawful act
  • Documents you obtained without authorisation
  • Malware, or files crafted to attack our systems or the providers'
  • Special-category personal data: health records, biometric data, or data about someone's race, religion, politics, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation
  • Material you're not permitted to export or transfer outside the EU

If you're not sure whether you're allowed to send someone else's document for review, ask them first.

10. Usage limits

There's no cap on how many reviews you can run. If you have credits, you can spend them.

We do ask that you use the service through the interface we provide rather than automating against it, and that you don't do anything that degrades the service for other users. If your usage is causing a problem, we'll contact you before doing anything about it.

11. Data and privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your documents, who sees them, and how long anything is kept. If you need a data processing agreement, email support@vettena.com.

We do not use your documents to train anything. Neither do the AI providers: each of them confirms in their own terms that data sent through their API is not used for model training.

12. Intellectual property

Your document stays yours. Uploading it gives us permission to process it for the purpose of producing your review, and nothing more.

The review is yours too. You can use the report however you like: share it, act on it, quote it.

Everything else is ours. The service, its interface, the review methodology and the prompts behind it remain our property. These terms don't give you a licence to copy or rebuild them.

13. Suspension and termination

You can leave at any time. Delete your account from your settings. Credits are lost, as described in Section 5.

We can suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You don't pay, or a payment is reversed or charged back
  • You upload something prohibited by Section 9
  • You use the service to do something illegal, or to review a document connected with illegal activity
  • You upload documents you don't have the right to share
  • You attack, probe or deliberately overload our systems
  • You breach these terms in some other material way

If we terminate for one of those reasons, your credits are forfeited. If we terminate for any other reason (we shut the service down, or we simply decide to stop serving you), we'll refund the value of any unused one-time credits.

Where the circumstances allow it, we'll warn you before terminating and give you a chance to fix the problem.

14. Our liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we don't warrant that it's error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will find any particular problem in your document.

Our total liability to you, for everything arising out of these terms, is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (lost profits, lost funding, lost contracts, lost opportunities, or damage to reputation) arising from your use of the service or from anything a review did or didn't find.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you're a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.

15. Changes to these terms

We'll email you before a material change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you've accepted the new terms. If you don't want to accept them, delete your account. If you do so within 30 days of the change, we'll refund any unused one-time credits.

Minor corrections will appear here with an updated date at the top.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Croatian law, and the courts of Croatia have jurisdiction.

If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own country and to rely on the consumer protections of the place you live.

Before going to court, please email us. Most things are faster to fix that way.

17. The rest

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

If we don't enforce something immediately, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.

You can't transfer these terms to someone else without our agreement. We can transfer them if the business is sold, and we'll tell you if that happens.

These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
